It can't get one any where without being bilingual, especially when they do not know how to speak English. English is a global language as you use it to communicate with people of other races. It is not important whether it is your mother tongue or not as long as you speak a language (well) which you and others understand or you could offend others easily if they do not know what you are talking about and assume that you are insulting them. However, there is no need to worry about youngsters nowadays as they know their two languages(at least) well and some even crave for extra languages.
